Meet the Partner Institution: University of Michigan – Ann Arbor
Meet Ronald Suny, Kate Wroblewski and Joshua Newell, three Visiting Fellows from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, who are in Regensburg in May 2022.
The Leibniz ScienceCampus Europe and America has a network of international partner institutions across Europe and both North and South America. Through a visiting fellowship program, we are able to welcome outstanding researchers from these centers to Regensburg. In May 2022, three Visiting Fellows from U Michigan – Ann Arbor are based at the University of Regensburg or the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (IOS).
On Thursday 5 May, at 16:15, you will be able to meet Ronald Suny, Kate Wroblewski and Joshua Newell to learn more about research and studies at Ann Arbor, as well as opportunities to travel there through the ScienceCampus fellowship program or other formats. The ScienceCampus has worked closely with U Michigan since its launch in September 2019, with Geneviève Zubrzycki giving the keynote lecture at the official opening, while Sidonie Smith has participated in events on life writing and migration involving the ScienceCampus.
Ronald Suny is professor of history and politics, Kate Wroblewski lecturer in history, and Joshua Newell associate professor in the School for Environment and Sustainability. They will be all be giving talks while in Regensburg, too. Joshua Newell on 3 May, Ronald Suny on 9 May and Kate Wroblewski on 16 May.
