Edison Neira Palacio is Full Professor at the Department of Linguistics and Literature (Faculty of Communications and Philology) at Universidad de Antioquia in Medellin, Colombia. He received a PhD in literature from the University of Bielefeld in 2001 having graduated as a sociologist in Colombia in 1994. He has expertise in sociology, literary studies and Spanish as a foreign language, leading projects including one exploring the regionalization of Hispanic Philology, pioneering online teaching and learning in the Latin American region, and also working on digital humanities and literature.
During his time in Regensburg, he is open to consultations and will also give a Brownbag talk at 12:15 on 21 June in Room 214 (Sammelgebäude) titled Flüchtlinge und Anomie als Protagonisten der Gestaltung der Großtat in der ersten Hälfte des XX Jh. in Kolumbien durch das literarische und journalistische Werkvon José-Antonio Osorio-Lizarazo. This informal session is open to all staff, students and colleagues from UR and IOS.
