Sharing insights and experiences from interdisciplinary collaborations between academia, artistic practice, curation, and policy-making: The artists' collective The Neighbours came to Regensburg as part of a collaboration between the Leibniz ScienceCampus, IOS, the Center for Commemorative Culture (ZE) and the Graduate School. Das Künstlerkollektiv The Neighbours bespielt 2024 den bulgarischen Pavillon bei der Biennale in Venedig. Im Mai besuchten die wissenschaftlich tätigen Künstler*innen auf Einladung des Leibniz Wissenschafts-Campus (LWC) Europe and America in the Modern World die Universität Regensburg (UR). Sie tauschten sich mit der Regensburger Forschungs-Community und der interessierten Öffentlichkeit über interdisziplinäre Kooperationen im Spannungsfeld von Wissenschaft, künstlerischer Praxis, Kuration und Politik aus.
Workshop und Künstlergespräch wurden gemeinsam und in Kooperation mit dem Zentrum Erinnerungskultur der UR, dem Leibniz-Institut für Ost- und Südosteuropaforschung (IOS) sowie der Graduiertenschule für Ost- und Südosteuropastudien organisiert.
