March 2024 | Meet the Visiting Researchers: Alexander Vezenkov & Stefan Voicu

When? Wednesday, 6 March, 13:00-14:00

Where? Room 017, IOS/ Graduate School

IOS, the Graduate School and the Leibniz ScienceCampus are currently hosting several leading scholars from around the world. We would like to give staff, students, doctoral researchers, postdocs and senior staff a chance to meet our international guests, build opportunities to network and learn more about the visiting researchers and their home institutions. The Meet the Visiting Researchers sessions will take place usually once a month to provide a forum for exchange.

On Wednesday, 6 March, you are invited to come to Room 017 at the Altes Finanzamt (IOS/Graduate School) at 13:00 to meet:

  • Alexander Vezenkov (Sofia)
  • Stefan Voicu (Bologna)

Our international guests will be happy to discuss any questions relating to exchanges with their home institutions, emerging research trends in their fields and area studies, current events, questions relating to your research, or anything else that comes up in these informal exchanges.

Alexander Vezenkov is a visiting fellow at the ScienceCampus in March 2024 and will be working here on a project exploring non-Party regime(s) in Bulgaria (1934–1944) in comparative perspective. He will give a talk on this at 12:00 on 6 March, directly preceding this session.

Stefan Voicu is a visiting fellow at IOS throughout March 2024. During his time at the Institute, he will be researching labor unions and Romanian migrant workers in the German meat industry.
