| Workshop

When? Thursday, 17 October 2024 from 09:00

Where? BA. 806, Universität Regensburg, Bajuwarenstr. 4

The workshop will explore the intersection of conflicts over sovereignty, territory, the dynamics of frozen conflicts in and beyond Eastern Europe, including the strains within non-recognized de facto states from a global comparative perspective, and protracted border disputes. It will examine their historical underpinnings, political developments and consequences, politico-legal challenges, socio-economic effects, and viable managements and resolution approaches. The event will showcase the latest research progress from various networks based in Europe.

We invite colleagues from UR and IOS, including doctoral researchers, to register to join the workshop. Please email campus@europeamerica.de by 10 October to participate.
