The ScienceCampus is offering a 12-month, full-time postdoctoral position starting April 1, 2025 based at the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (IOS).

We look forward to receiving applications from colleagues at the early stage of their postdoctoral career. Applications can be submitted by doctoral researchers who have at least submitted their thesis by the deadline (but are still waiting for their defence/ viva voce). Applicants with a doctorate should have had their defence within three years of the deadline of 12 January 2025. Periods of childcare and other care responsibilities will be taken into account.

Applicants should offer an innovative postdoctoral project, with a competitive publication record and experience in academic activities. The proposed projects should contribute to the broader objectives of the ScienceCampus as well as its research trajectories

  3. Uneven Economic Flows
  4. Refugee Worldmaking
  5. Broader conceptual and methodological reflections on area studies

We promote inter- and multidisciplinary research, encouraging collaboration between cultural studies, media studies, history, business and economics, law and the social sciences.

We can offer innovative support in developing your career as an early-stage postdoctoral researcher within an interdisciplinary research environment connecting IOS and the University of Regensburg. There are opportunities to secure additional funding for research and conferences while benefitting from excellent mentoring and access to a global network of partner institutions.
