Today the ScienceCampus is launching a new project: “Frictions” is a blogjournal – a hybrid format of blog and e-journal – discussing Europe and the Americas in the context of global transformations. The first contributions will go live in November.

Fünf Online-Vorträge setzen sich vom 14. Oktober bis zum 10. November mit aktuellen Krisen in Südosteuropa auseinander. Organisiert wird die Veranstaltungsreihe vom Leibniz-Institut für Ost- und Südosteuropaforschung (IOS) und der Südosteuropa‐Gesellschaft (Zweigstelle Regensburg), in Kooperation mit der Graduiertenschule für Ost‐ und Südosteuropastudien und dem Leibniz‐WissenschaftsCampus „Europe and America in the Modern World“.

Together with the Center for International and Transnational Area Studies (CITAS), the ScienceCampus is organizing a lecture series titled "Special Relations Revisited: Europa und die USA seit dem 19. Jahrhundert" for the winter semester 2020/21. Researchers from Regensburg, as well as national and international guests, will explore European-American relations and transformations since the nineteenth century.
